Texas Lutheran grabs win, takes loss in SCAC Cross-Division action at Austin College

SHERMAN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs took a loss and recorded a win Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Division tournament at Austin College.
 
The Bulldogs fell in five sets to the University of Dallas, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 15-12.
 
TLU defeated Centenary in three sets: 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.
 
In the loss to Dallas, Jaci Chambers and Paige Day each had 12 kills. Chambers and Kelly Jurden dished out 28 and 26 assists, respectively. Kelsi Menn registered six blocks, and Chambers recorded 28 digs.
 
In the win over Centenary, Day contributed 10 kills, and Chambers collected 19 assists. Menn added eight more blocks, and Lexi Morris notched 26 digs.
 
TLU's record now stands at 17-14 overall and at 8-8 in the SCAC.
 
The Bulldogs play Colorado College and Schreiner on Sunday. TLU and CC play at 10 a.m. The Bulldogs face Schreiner at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at Austin College.
