CONCAN, Texas – The Schreiner University women posted a tournament-low score of 340 Tuesday in the second round of the Texas Lutheran ConCan Intercollegiate Classic and roared to the tournament title by 17 shots.

Schreiner entered the final round trailing McMurry by eight shots, but the Mountaineers 340 bettered McMurry’s team score by 30 on Tuesday. Schreiner’s winning margin over LeTourneau was 17 shots.

Schreiner put four players – Sarah Stillwell, Liz Calderon, Surraya Minhas, and Gabby Rosales – into the top 10 of the final standings. Stillwell finished in third after an 87 and an 80.

LeTourneau finished second with a closing round of 362 and for a final total of 733.

McMurry and Texas Lutheran tied for third with team scores of 738. McMurry ended the tournament with a 370 for a team score of 738. TLU improved on Monday’s 371 with a 367 on Tuesday.

Texas A&M International took home the fifth position.

TLU’s Angela Aufderhaar took home second after a second consecutive 83 for a two-day total of 166.

Leslie Lee of LeTourneau won the team title with a final round of 79 to go with her first day 85.

TLU also received a seventh-place finish from Carly Hansen (87-95), a 13th-place finish from Sarah Thompson (101-93), and a 16th-place finish from Jessica Villarreal (100-96). Sarah Black took home 19th after rounds of 101 and 105.
