Seven season-bests set by TLU Women's Track & Field

SEGUIN, Texas – The Texas Lutheran women’s track and field team set seven season-best marks during weekend competition at Texas Tech University and the University of Houston.
Freshman distance runner Samantha Gutierrez set a new school record and established one of the seven season-bests with a time of 5:39.58 in the mile. Gutierrez was one of six Bulldogs competing in Houston.
Jessica Chambers and Kendra Shaw each recorded season-bests at Houston in the shot put. Chambers posted a mark of 10.52 meters, and Shaw collected a mark of 9.25 meters.
At Texas Tech, Lauren Brown finished with season-bests in the 200 meters (26.65 seconds) and in the 400 meters (100.61).
Sarah Usry and LaTrece Moorer also competed in Lubbock, Texas and came home with season-bests in the long jump and high jump, respectively. Usry went 16 feet, 8 inches in the long jump, and Moorer cleared 5-0.5 in the high jump.
