TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY

SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Lutheran women and men’s tennis teams opened the 2010 season with non-conference losses Friday at St. Mary’s University.

Both TLU squads fell to St. Mary’s by 9-0 counts.

St. Mary’s Vanessa Scholles won at No. 1 women’s singles over TLU’s Adriana Rodriguez 6-0, 6-0.

On the men’s side, St. Mary’s No. 1 Martin Marczewski defeated Jonathan Hartwell 6-1, 6-1.

The Bulldogs return to action next Friday with a 10 a.m. match against LeTourneau University. The match will take place at the TLU tennis courts.
