Injuries are unfortunately part of participation in intercollegiate athletics. Fortunately enough for the student-athletes at Texas Lutheran University, the well being and the safety of TLU's student-athletes is the primary concern for the athletic training staff. As a result the goal is to provide fast and responsive comprehensive medical care so that the injured or ill student-athlete can return to play as quickly and safely as possible.
Texas Lutheran University offers the complete package; including a large central athletic training room where injuries can be evaluated, treated, and rehabilitated, team physicians that make TLU's student-athletes health a priority, and multiple athletic trainers and athletic training students on site for nearly all athletic events and practices.
The athletic training room is open in the morning from 9am to 11:30am for evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation and then in the afternoon from 2pm to 5pm for evaluation, treatments, rehabilitation and practice coverage. Closing times may vary depending upon individual sports' practice times.
