TLU men's soccer falls to 0-7 with road loss

SHERMAN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team dropped its seventh straight contest to start
the 2009 season with a 4-2 non-conference loss Sunday afternoon against Austin College.
Austin College (1-5) scored the first four goals of the match. Kangaroos Sam Temple and Chris Melton
scored goals in the first half in the 19th and 29th minutes, respectively.
AC's Austin Dawson and Josh Pollock added goals in the 49th and 71st minutes, respectively.
TLU (0-7) received goals from Andrew Latiolais and Gumaro Sanchez. Latiolais scored in the 73rd minute,
and Sanchez notched his goal in the 84th minute. Morgan Parker and Myles Salas were credited with the TLU assists.
TLU out-shot AC 21-14. AC keeper Jeff Jones recorded five saves.
The Bulldogs return to American Southwest Conference play on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 with road matches at LeTourneau
and East Texas Baptist. Both matches are set for 3 p.m. starts.
