TLU women's soccer falls in OT

MARSHALL, Texas – Danica Saxon's goal in the first overtime gave East Texas Baptist a 2-1 American Southwest Conference victory
over Texas Lutheran, Saturday afternoon in Marshall, Texas .
The Lady Tigers (5-4, 4-1 ASC) trailed 1-0 with less than eight minutes to play in regulation.
TLU's Kaysie Boomhower scored her third goal in two days to put the Bulldogs ahead at the 82:37 mark. The goal was unassisted.
ETBU's Michelle Bubenik tied the match with less than three minutes to play in regulation.
Saxon ended the match with her goal 4:45 into the first overtime.
TLU dropped to 3-4-2 overall and to 1-2-2 in the ASC.
The Bulldogs return to Seguin for conference matches next Friday and Saturday against University of Texas at Tyler and Concordia Texas .
Both match times are set for 1 p.m. at TLU's Gustafson Field.
